Serenity Ratburn

Serenity Ratburn,^[2] sometimes referred to by her maiden name, Sweetwater,^[3] was a female adult rabbit, high school counselor, and wife of Elwood City Mayor Nigel Ratburn. Formerly a third grade teacher at Lakewood Elementary School, Sweetwater was known for her energetic personality and musical abilities.

Sweetwater's relationship with fellow teacher Nigel Ratburn was marred by secrecy and controversy due their interspecies status. She and Ratburn became local interspecies activists and leading figures in the 2015 revolution. They later married.

In 2023, Sweetwater was killed in a car accident that also involved Francine Frensky.^[1]

Biography[]

Serenity Sweetwater was born to Horace Sweetwater and his wife.^[4]

Teacher at Lakewood[]

Sweetwater was a third grade teacher at Lakewood Elementary during the 2014-15 school year. She worked alongside third grade teacher Nigel Ratburn, school principal Francis Haney, and secretary Cecilia Tingley.

At some point, Sweetwater and Ratburn began a secret yet passionate relationship. Since they were not the same species, they risked losing their jobs if it went public.^[5]^[6]

On September 17, 2014, student George Lundgren discovered Ratburn and Sweetwater kissing in the teachers' lounge.^[5] Despite initially blackmailing Ratburn,^[7] George told his entire class about the relationship.^[8]
